Top 14 of 2014
2014 was the year that I discovered many new brands. I bought quite a few products that ended up being all time favourites. I've narrowed them down to my top 14 favourites of the past year.
Nars Virtual Domination Palette// Despite only having this for just over a month, it has made it into my top 14, that shows just how much I love it. Laguna bronzer has become my favourite bronzer ever, it is the perfect shade for my skin tone and blends so easily. I also love all of the blush colours, they are all so wearable. This is one product that I am definitely glad I purchased in 2014.
YSL Babydoll Mascara// I got this mascara for Christmas last year and since then I've been absolutely loving it. Any mascara I buy now does not compare to this one, it's a good job I stocked up when it was on sale.
Origins GinZing Moisturiser// Origins is a brand that I tried for the first time in 2014. This moisturiser is one of the stand out products of those that I have tried. This really refreshes and wakens the skin and is oil free so it works well with my oily skin.
Essie Nail Polishes// I couldn't narrow my favourite nail polish down to just 1 shade so I decided I'd go with my favourite brand which is of course Essie. Not only do they have a grew range of shades but they are long wearing and last a good few days without chipping.
Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation// I have worn this foundation pretty much every day since September. It gives such good coverage and lasts all day on my oily skin.
MUA Lipstick// These lipsticks are the best value for money by far. Only £1 and they last a good 6 hours on the lips. Shade 1, which is a deep red, has been my favourite shade to wear recently.
Revlon Colourstay Concealer// This one has knocked the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer off the number 1 spot. I find that this one blends a lot easier as it isn't just as thick. Perfect for covering spots and blemishes.
Una Brennan Superfacialist Clay Mask// This is the only product that also featured in last years favourite products of the year. I didn't want to have the same products as I thought I would be repeating myself but I couldn't leave this one out, mainly because I haven't found another face mask that is as cheap and effective as this one.
Primark Fashion Nails// If you have seen my Instagram or Nail of the Day posts you'll know that I've been loving fake nails this year, especially the ones from Primark. They only cost £1 for 24 nails which means you get 2 uses, plus they can last up to a week.
Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm// This is one of the most raved about lip balms in the Beauty Blogging community and it deserves all the hype it gets. Mine has just ran out and since I've stopped using it my lips get dry and chapped so quickly. No other lip balm compares to this one.
Rimmel Santa Rose Blush// This has been my go to blush of 2014, it works well with a simple makeup look. It is a very neutral shade that complements my skin tone.
MUA Pro-Brow Kit// 2014 was the year that I really got into doing my eyebrows, this eyebrow palette is my favourite product to fill in my brows. Using this along with my next favourite helps to keep my brows looking groomed and in shape.
Zoeva Makeup Brushes// I am so glad I tried out these makeup brushes, I got the Classic Makeup Brush set which contains all the essentials. 2 of my favourites from the set are the Wing Liner brush, which I use to fill in my brows, and the Concealer Buffer brush, which I use for eyeshadow.
Charles Worthington Texturising Spray// This product has worked wonders for my hair, it gives volume and texture and makes my hair look messy but done. A hair essential if you lack volume.
