Review: Morphe Eyeshadow Palettes

35O

The whole Morphe Palette craze seemed to come out of nowhere, all of a sudden these were the must-have palettes that kept selling out. They were constantly appearing on my Instagram feed and took the beauty world by storm.

Getting your hands on these palettes in the UK a few months ago was not easy. I actually got mine in New York, but thankfully they're now available on Beauty Bay and Cult Beauty.

The 35O is probably one of the most sought after eyeshadow palettes. I had to go to 5 different Ricky's stores in New York just to get this one. Cult Beauty currently have a waiting list for it, that's how popular it is. So why is everyone so desperate to get their hands on this palette? Well just look at how beautiful it is, I have never seen anything like it. The colours range from bright oranges and shimmery coppers to warm browns and neutral shades. The possibilities are endless with this palette.

The 35K is more of a neutral palette. This palette has 35 different neutral shades which range from warm browns to cooler toned silvers and greys. It isn't just as striking as the 35O but it does have some beautiful colours, the gold glitter shade is one of my favourites.

So these palettes definitely look the part, but what are they actually like to use? I couldn't believe how pigmented these eyeshadows were. Both the matte and shimmery shades have incredible pigmentation and blend so easily. They also have really good staying power and don't crease on the eyelids. These eyeshadows are definitely comparable to Mac and Urban Decay ones and are a fraction of the price.

Each palette is around £20 which makes each eyeshadow just under 60p. I do feel like the packaging reflects the price though as it feels quite cheap and flimsy, but that's just a minor detail. I can deal with cheap packaging when the product inside is this good.

Morphe also do makeup brushes which are also really affordable and amazing quality. I got the M408 Chisel Shader and the M310 Large Soft Fan brush.

If you are looking for affordable makeup that is of exceptional quality I would definitely check this brand out. It is perfect for someone who is looking to build their collection without spending too much, or even for someone who is just getting into makeup.
