Review: L'Oreal Pure Clay Face Masks

L'Oreal Pure Clay Face Mask

It's coming to that time of the year when I love nothing more than staying in and having a pamper night. One essential part of a good pamper night is a face mask. I am a huge fan of face masks and definitely own a few more than I really need, but the majority of them are high end, with the only drugstore one I own being the Una Brennan Superfacialist Clay Mask. Good face masks are hard to come by in the drugstore, however, L'Oreal recently changed up the drugstore game and launched 3 Clay Masks. The Pure Clay Dextox Mask which detoxifies and clarifies, the Pure Clay Glow Mask which brightens and exfoliates and the Pure Clay Purity Mask which purifies and mattifies. Like I said, I have more than enough face masks, so I couldn't justify buying all 3, so I just bought 2 (that's a compromise right?).

All 3 masks contain a powerful blend of 3 pure clays, Koalin which absorbs excess sebum, Montmorillonite which helps eliminate imperfections and Ghassoul which helps clarify the complexion. I have not heard of any of these clays before but I thought the best way to see if they live up to these claims was to try them out.

The Pure Clay Dextox Mask contains all three of these clays and charcoal. This one is your typical charcoal mask, it soaks up the excess oils and gives my skin a deep clean. I honestly think this one is comparable to the Origins clay mask but for a fraction of the price. This one would be particularly good to use if you have oily skin.

The Pure Clay Glow Mask contains all three clays as well as red algae. This one also has micro-beads which exfoliate the skin as you apply it, because of this my skin is left feeling extremely soft. I noticed visible results after using this one, it left my skin looking healthier and brighter. This mask is my favourite of the 2 I bought.

I am so impressed with these Clay Masks, I have been using them for over a month now and they have really helped my skin. I'd also love to try out the Pure Clay Purity Mask to see if it is as good as these two. At only £7.99 these are a great face mask alternative to the more expensive high end ones.

Have you tried out any of the L'Oreal Pure Clay Face Masks?
